The Institute of Corporate Governance, Employment and Human Resources Management of Nigeria was established out of a deep desire by its Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Professor Jude Nwoka, FCIA, FNIM, FIBAKM, alongside other visionary professionals, to improve the quality of corporate governance, employment practices, and human resources management in Nigeria.

As a seasoned administrator, leadership lecturer, and expert in governance, business relations, and resource management, Professor Nwoka recognized that to stay competitive in the global economy, Nigeria must:

  1. Standardize corporate governance, employment, and human resource practices.
  2. Provide relevant education and training.
  3. Advocate for better regulation and ethical conduct across all sectors.

Recognizing this need, the Institute was registered on 24th April 2025 under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020, with registration number 8436376.
